Monsieur L. offers to all genders an inclusive contemporary vision of classic masculine shoe design. Behind the discreet elegance of the L. initial is Alain Leber, founder of the brand.
Having designed for many years for iconic luxury brands including Michel Perry, J.M. Weston or Louis Vuitton and Burberry where for a long time he was heading up the shoe collections, Alain has decided to create his own brand.
Combining tradition and innovation with a touch of humour and derision, he traces the contour of an ideal wardrobe, writing his own definition of timelessness.
With an assertive as well as fully inclusive style, every person, regardless of their gender, has the chance to appropriate it in their own personable way.
Unlike the fast fashion cycle, Alain prefers a sustainable approach. One of thought, care and unique identity.

  • Our shoes…

  • Through an edited collection, Monsieur L. offers a wide range covering all daily needs, from formal shoes to sneakers.
    Because every model is unique, they carry each a name discreetly written on the insole.
    With a full genderless proposition, all models are available in two fittings allowing the perfect comfort for both men and women. 
    Made from noble materials, they are available in various constructions, like Blake, Pratic or Moccasin stitching. 
    All our leather soles are equipped with a rubber insert for a better grip on the ground and the sports soles are made of EVA providing lightness and flexibility.
    Finally, for a perfect fit and ultimate comfort, all Monsieur L. shoes are made with a recycled foam insole.

  • At all stages of manufacturing, we make the most responsible choices to be as sustainable as possible.  
    Our commitment is to offer beautifully crafted products designed and made for endurance to be cherished for a long time. 
    Monsieur L. shoes are manufactured combining traditional know-how, craftsmanship and technical innovation by our workshops in Portugal.
    The majority of our skins come from vegetable or chrome-free tanning and most components are made from natural or recycled materials.
    All our packaging is made from recycled paper PEFC certified and recycled cotton. Whenever possible we source locally to avoid unnecessary CO2 emission demanding transportation. 
    Our approach is to optimize, day after day, manufacturing processes, purchasing and operations, to continuously improve the quality of our products while respecting the environment.
